The shoe for any occasion – Nike Epic React

When do you feel sexiest? I don’t know about you guys but I feel sexiest when I’m in workout gear. When I’m not traveling I’m usually home rocking some really comfy (but still cute) athleisure. Because I’m usually on the go, from my morning workout to meetings, to working on editing, the blog, emails, rushing to the airport… I need things that can keep up with me.

Over the past 10 years “athleisure” has been overtaking the fashion industry. Athleisure is a trend, clothing designed for workouts and other activities are worn in casual settings, at work, to dinner.

So when Nike contacted me and said “it’s more fun to go far” with the React, I knew this was the perfect shoe for me. This week I put them to the test pairing them with two completely different looks to show you how versatile they can be.

Shooting around Montreal is something I never really get to do. Since I travel fulltime, coming home is my downtime to recharge before my next trip. In all honesty, I’ve never really been inspired to shoot around Montreal. Don’t get me wrong we live in a beautiful city, with a very European feel but we don’t have any blue ass water. However, I’ve heard your overwhelmingly positive response from my IG story poll, 95% of you want to see more of Montreal.

With that in mind, I went out to explore the city. I tossed on my favorite jogging set, leather jacket, and my new Nike Epic React. Our first stop was picking up Fairmont Bagels. This local institution was established in 1919 and for anyone who has been misinformed, there’s no comparison to Montreal bagels! There’s a huge misconception that NY bagels are the best. To anyone that thinks that you have not been to Montreal.

After a breakfast of champions, I swapped the joggers for a dress before heading to a lunch meeting. To my surprise, the shoes made the perfect pair once again showing me how vertaile they can be! At that point in the day, the shoes had already taken me through my morning walk with the dog, running a few errands and showed no signs of stopping there.

On our way home, we pit stopped at Orange Julep, another Montreal trademark. This place has been serving up their special orange drink (orange juice + their secret recipe) since 1932.

I love finding pieces as versatile as this. Never did I think that I could wear a dress with runners and have it look so cute, this might be my new favorite way to rock this dress now! Plus, material conforms to the shape of your foot, creating a snug, hug-like feel (I love hugs)!

Because I knew I wanted to combine them with more fashionable pieces I ordered the seafoam color (Light Silver/Mica Green). But I also loved the black/ dark grey and they have a ton of other colorways online! . You’ll see me wearing these a lot.

I linked my shoes along with a few other Nike pieces I found to make a similar outfit to mine in this post.

If you are in the market for a new shoe that will take you farther than just the gym, I would consider the Nike Epic React. I for one can’t wait to see how much farther I can take them in my everyday life!

Sharing is caring!
