The best picnic spot in Montreal

Picnic in the city | Montreal

It’s been a minute since I’ve spent this much time at home and I have to say, I’m not mad about it! Nothing beats summers in Montreal, truely! No matter how far I travel, Montreal has some of the best sunsets I’ve ever seen!

Normally you’ll find me living out of a suitcase and juggling jetlag on top of multiple time zones. But after my month-long trip to Australia, things have slowed down a little. Since being home for this long is such a luxury to us, Mel and I are taking full advantage! The other day we decided to pack a cooler and headed to the best picnic spot in the city!

Montreal is definitely not known for our beaches, but the best place to enjoy a view of the city and soak up the sun is definitely Clock Tower Beach in the Old Port Marina. It’s definitely a unique view! The best part – the beach is completely free!

I have to say, managed to pack up a pretty cute set up from Walmart. I picked up an Ozark Trail cooler, foldable chairs the cutest checkered blankets. Then stuffed the cooler with the essentials, loads of water, cider, watermelon and of course, rose! Then ordered vegan pizza’s basically right to the beach!

If you’re like me, at home and not traveling right now I hope this post inspires you to get out and re-discover your own city! There is so much beauty here in Montreal, I often take it for granted. You always want what you can’t have, am I right?

Walmart is always my go-to for everyday items. Just to give you an idea I linked a bunch of other random items I love to pick up at Walmart in this post! Happy shopping! xx

I never knew about this spot in Montreal…and just realize it’s been too many years since I’ve been back. Hoping to get back for this (and bagels, let’s be honest) when the time is right!
