Thank you Alive Multivitamins for sponsoring this post!
It’s funny how 2.5 years ago when I took the plunge to pursue a nomadic lifestyle and travel full time it was to escape any signs of normalcy or routine. Yet nowadays my routine is what I look forward to.
Whether I’m on the road or at home, my routine gives me the stability I need to get through my day.
This year I’ve really been focusing on my health and personal well-being. After a few visits to foreign doctors (and hospitals), I’ve realized that I cannot do my job if I am not 100% myself. Since cutting out dairy 9 years ago and meat 1.5 years ago, I’ve noticed that I often have trouble focusing and I am deficient in more than just B12.
Then Alive! Multivitamins reached out just as I was looking to incorporate a multivitamin into my routine. I’ve been taking the Alive! Women’s Gummies in new mixed berry flavor for the past 2 weeks now. These vitamins support my overall health and they’ve now become part of my daily regimen, especially while traveling.*
These gummies taste delicious and help support things like energy with vitamin B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, and B12.* Perfect for my body who’s always trying to figure out what time zone it should be in.
I started traveling with vitamins earlier this year but in order to get all my vitamins, I had so many different bottles. Before I knew it I was carrying around a bag full of pills.
I love how Alive! Multivitamins have everything I need in one. They are packed with essential vitamins women need to help me make the most of my day! Plus, it makes traveling so much easier and frees up space in my bag for an extra dress or two! 😉
At home or on the road, I try to keep it as close to my regular morning routine as possible. Here are 6 hacks to increase productivity.
6 Morning Hacks to Increase Productivity
The key for me is to get at least 6-7 hours of sleep. I like to wake up around 6:30-7: 30 am and usually lay in bed for an additional 30 mins just responding to direct messages on Instagram. I know, I know.. Checking my phone first thing in the morning is probably the worst thing I can do.
Hey, I never said I was perfect!
Hydrate + Take Vitamins
I always start my morning with a glass of water or hot water with lemon. Ideally, I try to drink a litre of water before noon. It’s a lot easier said than done but a girl can try.
The one thing that never waivers is taking my Alive! Women’s Multivitamins. Taking 2 of these yummy gummies is such a sweet treat in the morning. Candy in the morning, that’s actually good for you, count me in!!
These gummies are packed with the 16 vitamins + minerals women need. I also love that these vitamins are gluten and gelatin-free!
As you can imagine traveling takes a huge toll on my skin, last year I was gone nearly half the year. So I’ve been loving testing new clean products/ brands and really focusing on self-care for my skin. Makeup remover, toner, face wash, scrub, serum, eye cream and face cream, the process is extensive but my skin has never looked better!
Sweat once a day
If you tune into my Instagram stories you know that when I’m home I love sweating at F45, weight training or stretching it out in Yoga. However, if I’m traveling I’m not always able to get to the gym or a class. I love working out first thing in the morning, I’m usually at a class by 8:30 am.
If I can’t make time for a full workout I’m sure to keep active in other ways whether it be using the hotel gym, stretching in the hotel room, walking everywhere.
Fun fact about me I never leave home without a tension band. That way if the hotel has no gym there are so many different exercises I can still do in my room with a single band!
Walk the dog (when home) + Listen to a podcast
After my workout, it’s Nala’s turn! I love taking my pup to the forest. She can run free while I finish off my workout with some low cardio walking. On my walk I’ll usually listen to a podcast and reflect on the topic. It’s a great way to get the creative juices flowing first thing in the morning.
Currently my favourite podcasts include:
- Drink with James by James Nood
- The Influencer Podcast by Julie Solomon
- Goal Digger by Jenna Kutcher
- Don’t Keep your Day Job by Cathy Heller
- Oprah’s SuperSoul Conversations by Oprah
- Off the Vine by Kaitlyn Bristowe
And if you’re in the mood for something juicy check out:
- Dirty John by the L.A. Times (I know it’s available on Netflix now but the podcast is so much better than the series!)
Coffee time + Respond to emails
Time to turn on the coffee machine! I’m not someone who is dependent on coffee to function but I’ll often go through a coffee or tea phase. Lately it’s coffee, especially after Australia!
Depending on my mood I’ll either go for a double espresso, oat milk latte or vegan bulletproof coffee (double shot of espresso, a little nut milk, cinnamon and coconut oil and toss it all in the blender). I’ve you’ve never tried it you need to!! The coconut oil makes the coffee incredibly creamy, you’ll be shocked!
As I sip on my first coffee of the day I’ll start sorting through my emails and responding. I try to label and prioritize my inbox before responding. It just helps me decide what needs to be actioned first.
As I like to do intermittent fasting and I don’t eat before working out I’ll usually eat breakfast around 12-1pm. Breakfast is typically avocado toast with tofu scramble or poached eggs or I’ll make oats packed with seeds, granola and fresh fruit.
Just to clarify here because I always get questions about my diet, I’m not vegan! I still eat eggs and seafood but I like to follow a plant-based lifestyle as much as possible. I’ll often opt for the vegan option whenever possible.
Take meetings, schedule calls and work my way down my to do list
After breakfast I’m back to powering through my to do list. I’ll usually have a few calls or meeting set up and sometimes I’ll have an event in the evening. But for the most part, you can find me on my computer until about 10pm..11pm..12am..1am..2am… All too often I’ll track of time and before I know it it’s way past my bedtime.
Food is fuel – Dinner Time
I love cooking! Part of me living a healthy lifestyle is eating healthy. It’s one of the things I really do for myself and I love cooking for others and experimenting in the kitchen.
I love coming home to my kitchen feeling inspired from my recent travels. You’ll often see it come through in my cooking!

I love my bed!
When I finally get to bed I like to try and always get 6-7 hours of solid sleep. One of my favorite routines of the day is my nighttime skincare! I LOVE taking off my makeup! No matter how tired I am I can never go to bed without cleansing my face and brushing my teeth.
Anyways, these are just some of the steps I find essentials in making my days as productive as possible.
I’d love to hear from you. What’s your routine?
